Alan M. Bell, the Founder, President, and CEO of The Closing Bell, has demonstrated exceptional legal expertise in public finance, project finance, and public-private partnerships. Over his career, he has represented clients in complex financial transactions totaling over $25 billion. Alan has served in various capacities, including underwriter’s counsel, co-bond counsel, borrower’s counsel, credit enhancer’s counsel, and legislative counsel. His work spans a wide range of project financings, public-private partnerships, and public financings, such as general obligation bonds, traditional revenue bonds, and various conduit financings like airport bonds, stadium bonds, §501©(3) bonds, multifamily housing bonds, and single-family mortgage bonds. With more than 30 years of legal practice, Alan is licensed by the Illinois bar.
Alan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1986 and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1989. Additionally, he holds a Certificate in Project Management from New York University.
